AXIS Tool Set for Bluebeam® Revu®: streamlining surveillance design

Designing surveillance solutions in 2D should be smooth and easy. Thanks to AXIS Tool Set for Bluebeam® Revu®, design teams using Bluebeam can easily visualize the Axis camera’s field of view at the drawing stage, and make sure that their solution will cover the client’s needs. But improving workflow is just one advantage. The tool set can boost the overall project performance and promote collaboration between teams. In this article, we highlight some of the benefits of using AXIS Tool Set for Bluebeam® Revu®.

An improved workflow

Following popular request from our partners who have been missing visualizing Axis cameras in their 2D design work, AXIS Tool Set for Bluebeam® Revu® is developed to streamline surveillance design. The most popular Axis cameras are added to the tool chest of Bluebeam, enabling a much smoother workflow.

“This tool will complement design teams’ daily work by improving their workflow efficiency. Axis cameras can be added quickly and easily to the drawing through drag-and-drop. And the camera’s field of view can be displayed and adjusted in scale and size. The ability to build layers disseminates information, so you can show the camera symbols or the field of view, as needed. This simplifies our partner’s work and meets their unique needs and challenges,” says Steven Kenny, Architect & Engineering Program Manager – EMEA.

A way to boost project performance

AXIS Tool Set for Bluebeam® Revu® can boost the overall project performance through access to industry–standard markup and measurement tools, enabling more efficient work and communication. It also enhances the accuracy of projects, and minimizes the chances of costly mistakes, rework, and delays.

“The tool set is designed to focus on maximizing the return of investment for surveillance projects. Enhancing the accuracy of projects leads to more efficient project timelines and, in the end, more satisfied customers,” says Steven Kenny.

A tool set that promotes collaboration

Another great advantage is that using the Axis tool set in Bluebeam enables real-time collaboration between design teams.

“By leveraging the tool set in Bluebeam, design teams can exchange effective information, make quicker decisions, and execute projects faster. Regardless of their location, design teams can stay connected and work seamlessly with access to the latest project documents on any device. This tool set will be used by the Axis community to visualize their design intentions and collaborate on them. This collaborative approach fosters a more agile and responsive approach to design project management,” says Geoffrey Bauer, Manager, A&E Program – Business Development Partner Ecosystems Americas.
