Axis Communications announces updates to the AXIS P13 Box Camera Series. These powerful cameras are ideal for various indoor surveillance situations. Lightweight, barebone units are also available for maximum flexibility.
These box cameras offer excellent image quality even in challenging light conditions. AXIS P1385 delivers 2 MP resolution, while AXIS P1387 delivers 5 MP, and AXIS P1388 offers excellent 8 MP resolution. With an exchangeable lens and i-CS support, it’s possible to change the lens. In addition, P-Iris ensures images with better contrast, clarity, resolution, and depth of field.
There are also lightweight, barebone units available in each resolution. These barebone units are ready to customize for specific needs and are delivered without lens and mounting for maximum flexibility.
With Lightfinder 2.0, and Forensic WDR, AXIS P13 Series delivers true colors and great detail in challenging light or near darkness. Electronic image stabilization ensures stable images despite vibration and scene profiles can be automatically optimized to suit specific scenarios. Additionally, thanks to shock detection and a tampering alarm, they will send a notification if there’s any attempts to interfere with the camera.
These high-performance cameras include a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) to support advanced features and applications based on deep learning on the edge. For instance, AXIS Object Analytics can detect and classify different types of objects. Additionally, it’s possible to collect and analyze even more data than before—on the edge. This DLPU also delivers valuable metadata facilitating fast, easy, and efficient forensic search capabilities.
Key features include:
- Excellent image quality in up to 4K
- Barebone units available for specific needs
- Exceptional images with 1/1.8” sensor
- Analytics with deep learning
- Built-in cybersecurity with Axis Edge Vault
Built on an Axis system-on-chip, AXIS P13 Series includes Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform that safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. Furthermore, with support for PoE and redundant DC power, they offer flexible installation. Plus, they’re designed to fit into outdoor housing.
The cameras will be available through Axis distribution channels in Q2 2024. Outdoor models in AXIS P13 Series will be available later this year.
