Axis Communications announces two multidirectional cameras ideal for expansive outdoor areas. These cameras can monitor four different areas, around the clock, and even in challenging lighting.
AXIS P3747-PLVE offers four channels with 5 MP per channel, while AXIS P3748-PLVE offers four channels with 8 MP per channel. Both cameras capture clear images over great distances. They include day/night functionality and 360° IR illumination to deliver clear images in low light or darkness as well as undistorted colors during the day. Forensic WDR ensures clarity when there is both dark and light areas in the scene.
Thanks to extended tilt functionality, all four sensors are fully tiltable. Additionally, PTRZ (Pan, Tilt, Roll, Zoom) functionality means there’s no need to physically adjust the camera. It’s possible to remotely move and set up the camera allowing for quick and easy installation. This ensures less disruption and downtime and reduces the need to dispatch a technician.
These AI-powered cameras include a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) making it possible to run powerful analytics on the edge. For instance, they come with AXIS Object Analytics preinstalled to detect, classify, track, and count humans and vehicles. This DLPU also delivers valuable metadata facilitating fast, easy, and efficient forensic search capabilities in live or recorded video.
