Axis Communications announces updates to the AXIS P13 Box Camera Series. These robust, outdoor cameras add to AXIS P13 indoor models launched earlier this year. Ideal for various surveillance situations, they have a clear deterrent effect. Barebone models are also available for maximum flexibility.
AXIS P13 box cameras ensure excellent image quality even in challenging light conditions. AXIS P1385-E offers 2 MP resolution, while AXIS P1387-LE and AXIS P1388-LE deliver 5 MP and 8 MP respectively. Ideal for various surveillance situations, these cameras include an exchangeable lens and i-CS support. Barebone models come without lens and mounting, so they can be fully customized allowing users to create a unique camera to meet their specific requirements. There are also several accessories available, for instance, an IR illuminator kit with white LED for cost-effective surveillance in pitch darkness.
These outdoor cameras can handle temperatures from -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F). A front heater ensures the lens is free of ice and fog. In addition, AXIS P13 Weathershield Extension A is available for extreme protection against snow or rain, and to prevent reflections. Thanks to a deep learning processing unit (DLPU), they support advanced features and applications based on deep learning on the edge. For instance, AXIS Object Analytics can detect and classify humans, vehicles, and types of vehicles.
Key features include:
- Excellent image quality in up to 4K
- -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F)
- Robust and impact-resistant design
- Analytics with deep learning
- Built-in cybersecurity with Axis Edge Vault
AXIS P13 Series includes Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform that safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. Additionally, support for PoE and redundant DC power ensures flexible installation.
