Appointment of Shirley Phillips-Knight in the week of Axis’ win at the IFSEC Security & Fire Excellence Awards puts Axis on a strong footing for future growth in 2022.
Axis Communications, a market leader in network video, has announced Shirley Phillips-Knight as the new Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland. With keen insights and exceptional industry knowledge gained over the last 25 years, Shirley Phillips-Knight will use her considerable expertise to support Axis’ trusted partners and valued customers, while driving new growth and delivering an extensive range of new and innovative security solutions to her markets.
The announcement comes as the Axis team celebrates its win in the Security Hardware / Software Manufacturer of the Year category at the IFSEC Security & Fire Excellence Awards 2021. Taking place at the London Hilton hotel on Park Lane on Tuesday 23 November, the event saw the industry gather face-to-face once again, following last year’s event which was held virtually as a result of the pandemic.
Speaking on the evening of the award announcement, Shirley commented: “I am extremely proud to be a part of the Axis Communications team and to help realise the company’s future success. Winning an award like this is testament to hard work and dedication, and I’m thrilled to see our efforts pay off. I look forward to celebrating this win with my colleagues and also pass my congratulations on to the other winners across many fantastic categories. Axis has many more innovative solutions in the pipeline for 2022 and I feel fortunate to have joined at such an exciting time.”
Shirley Phillips-Knight joins the company bringing with her a wealth of security industry knowledge. Her experience includes a number of senior sales and management roles at a leading distributor of security products, also an Axis partner, Norbain SD. As a successful woman working within the sector, Shirley is keen to leverage her position to serve as a role model to other women who wish to follow a similar path in the security and technology industries. With a shortage of women and lack of diversity within the sector as a whole, Shirley is proud to be able to inspire more women to join her in the security sector.
