Axis Communications, the global leader in network video, today announced the appointment of Ettiene van der Watt as Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC), effective 1 October 2025.

With over 18 years of industry experience and more than 14 years at Axis, Ettiene has held leadership roles across engineering, business development, and regional management. Most recently, he served as Regional Director for the Middle East, Turkey, and Central Asia, where he successfully guided the business across diverse markets and strengthened Axis' presence in the region. He has been a consistent voice for smarter systems, sustainable practices, and forward-looking solutions, shaping how Axis partners with customers to create lasting impact.

Throughout his career, Ettiene has been a prominent voice in the security industry. He is a regular speaker at major events and frequently shares insights on emerging trends, innovation, and the role of sustainability in security. Under his leadership, Axis has partnered with organisations such as Moro Hub to advance integrated physical security platforms, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative growth and industry leadership.
