Axis Communications in Convergint STEP Up for Schools program

Since 2018, the Convergint STEP Up for Schools Program has helped strengthen school security nationwide.

This year, Axis is once again joining the Convergint Technologies STEP Up for Schools program to support local communities as part of our ongoing commitment to school security. Douglas County School District in Denver, CO, is one of the primary beneficiaries, along with Tarkington Independent School District in Houston, TX, and Enumclaw School District in Seattle, WA. Axis has contributed a variety of products designed to enhance the security systems in these schools, emphasizing the importance of community safety and support.

Launched in 2018, Convergint’s STEP Up for Schools initiative has bolstered security in underserved schools worldwide. By offering free interior and exterior security system installations, upgrades, and assessments, Convergint strives to create safer learning environments. To date, the program has benefitted 71 schools globally, providing essential security improvements at no cost to the schools involved.

Beyond providing security products, Axis is committed to hands-on involvement in this program and will be participating in workdays throughout June and July. Teams from Axis will collaborate with Convergint volunteers on-site at each school, assisting with clean-up and repair projects. This collaborative effort underscores Axis’s dedication to making a tangible difference in the educational environments of underserved schools, ensuring that the program’s impact goes beyond just security installations.
