Axis Communications announces two multidirectional cameras designed for operation with Axis PTZ cameras. These cameras can monitor four different areas, around the clock, and even in challenging lighting.
These panoramic cameras offer four 5 MP sensors and deliver 360° overview for total situational awareness. With four ½” sensors, they ensure clear, bright images and better handling of shadows even in challenging light conditions, often reducing the need for IR illumination in dark scenes.
AXIS Q6020-E is specially designed for operation with AXIS Q60 PTZ Series. AXIS Q6300-E is specially designed for operation with AXIS Q61/Q63/P56 PTZ Series and includes directional audio detection to redirect the PTZ camera to the audio source whenever an audio incident is detected.
These cameras capture high-resolution overviews and great details in one complete camera solution. It’s possible to move from overview to zoomed-in detailed views with just one mouse click. It’s also easy to change lenses and adjust the field of view. For instance, it’s possible to use a wide-angle lens to monitor wide open areas, or a tele lens to get great details from a distance. What’s more, autopilot enables automatic PTZ tracking.
Built on a dual system-on-chip (SoC), these powerful cameras feature a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) that makes it possible to run advanced features and powerful analytics at the edge. For instance, with AXIS Object Analytics preinstalled, they can detect, classify, track, and count humans and types of vehicles. This DLPU also delivers valuable metadata facilitating efficient forensic search capabilities in live or recorded video.
Key features include:
- 360° camera with 4 x 5 MP sensors
- Current AXIS Q60/Q61/Q63/P56 PTZ Camera recommended
- Easy installation with support for Wi-Fi dongle
- Autofocus and auto-alignment functionality
- Built-in cybersecurity with Axis Edge Vault
These cost-efficient cameras use the same bracket, power supply, and network cable as the integrated PTZ camera, so there's no extra equipment required. With four camera heads in one camera, they ensure fast, accurate, and cost-effective installation. They also feature a USB port so installers can insert a Wi-Fi dongle and quickly see the camera view as they adjust it. This makes it easy to configure cameras while on site.
Axis Edge Vault, our hardware-based cybersecurity platform, safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. Plus, it offers secure key storage with FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified, secure cryptographic key storage and operations. Furthermore, privacy masking safeguards privacy in real time.
The cameras are planned to be available through Axis distribution channels by Q2.
