Axis acquires two new properties in Lund, Sweden

On May 12, Axis Communications signed an agreement with Castellum to acquire the properties of Lundaporten and the Edison 1 and 2 buildings, located next to Axis HQ building Grenden in Lund, Sweden.

In total, the properties are 51,000 square meters. The purpose of the acquisition is that Axis sees Lund and Ideon Science Park as an important hub for continued growth. Including consultants, Axis currently has around 3,000 people working in Lund, and with Axis growth plans the company expects to increase that number going forward. By acquiring these properties, Axis has greater opportunities to adapt them to its needs in the long term, for example in terms of security and R&D. Axis already rents about 70 percent of the space in these properties today. The official handover will take place on May 31 and will be followed by some renovation and adaptation of the premises.
