Axis Communications announces the release of version 5.8 of AXIS Optimizer for XProtect. This new version integrates support for AXIS Audio Manager Pro, enabling remote, centralized management of audio for large, multi-site speaker and public address systems in XProtect. It also expands its AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect access control capabilities with elevator access control as well as badge design.
AXIS Optimizer for XProtect version 5.8 fully integrates AXIS Audio Manager Pro into XProtect. By uniting audio and video, this powerful solution bridges the gap between detection and deterrence, enabling faster and more coordinated responses.
It’s now possible to set user permissions across the system, configure thousands of Axis speakers, strobe sirens, and display speakers, and manage content across hundreds of audio zones. All changes can be made remotely, eliminating the need for on-site visits and significantly improving operational efficiency.
Another key advantage is that AXIS Optimizer has an existing integration with AXIS Audio Manager Edge for small to medium sized audio systems. With this latest release, XProtect users now have options to scale both in size and capabilities using professional audio and public address software united in XProtect.
This latest release also includes several enhancements to its access control integration of AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect. Admin roles can now design and print ID badges for authorized cardholders.
Another new capability is elevator access control, enhancing XProtect security systems by regulating who can access elevators and which floors they can reach. What’s more, AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect is licensed exclusively through Milestone, with one $89 perpetual license required per door, simplifying purchasing and licensing for end customers.
This latest version of AXIS Optimizer is available for download directly from XProtect Update Manager. Designed to help IT and system administrators manage software updates across all XProtect components, this powerful tool also makes it easy to keep AXIS Optimizer up to date across the entire surveillance system
