AXIS Q2802-E Bispectral Camera

Axis Communications announces an AI-powered bispectral camera that offers a high-resolution thermal sensor for reliable detection and verification, and a 4K visual camera for visual identification purposes.

AXIS Q2802-E Bispectral Camera uses thermal imaging technology to deliver outstanding thermal detection and verification, and comes in four variants with different lens alternatives for a wider or narrower field of view. It can detect objects using the thermal video stream and confirm detections with the visual image.

In addition, thermal visual image fusion seamlessly fuses the thermal and visual images into one clear image.

This AI-powered camera runs AXIS Object Analytics on the video stream to detect, classify, track, and count objects. Or AXIS Perimeter Defender (sold separately) on the thermal video stream for reliable long-range detection and classification of humans and vehicles.

Key features include:

  • VGA thermal and 4K visual in one camera
  • Thermal visual image fusion
  • Flexible mounting options
  • Four lens alternatives
  • Built-in cybersecurity with Axis Edge Vault

This robust camera features an IK10 vandal-resistant housing and can withstand hurricane-force winds. Furthermore, Axis Edge Vault safeguards the device and offers FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and operations.

Ideal for perimeter surveillance this all-in-one, top-of-the-line bispectral camera offers high-resolution thermal detection and 4K visual verification.

The camera is planned to be available through Axis distribution channels by June 2026.
