Axis Communications announces AXIS Body Worn Live to deliver live data streaming in the form of video, audio, and metadata from Axis body worn cameras. AXIS Body Worn Live supports informed decision making by operators and provides an added sense of safety for camera wearers.
Wearers can activate the data stream simultaneously with recording. The operator can be notified in their management system to view GPS location data and follow along in real-time in the cloud-based application. The wearer can be notified when the operator begins monitoring. Permissions can be assigned based on roles to safeguard data integrity and transmission is protected by end-to-end encryption.
Key features include:
- 24-hour data retention
- End-to-end encryption
- Data gap retrieval
- Works independently of VMS or EMS
- Microsoft Azure platform
AXIS Body Worn Live works independently of your choice of video or evidence management system. The data stream can be viewed on computers, or mobile devices, and can be streamed to one or more viewers. Data is accessible for 24 hours and buffering ensures that no data is lost even if transmission temporarily drops out. Cameras connect via pre-configured WIFI. AXIS Body Worn Live runs on the Microsoft Azure platform. It supports GDPR compliance and is always updated with the latest software releases and patches.
Licenses for AXIS Body Worn Live will be available for purchase in Q2 2023. The product can be added to existing Axis body worn cameras through firmware upgrade.
