Axis Communications announces two compact IP readers that offer a complete interface to control one door. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, they’re easy to install in tight spaces for convenient touch-free entry.
AXIS A4610 Network Reader is an all-in-one device that comes with everything needed to manage the full door, including the door lock and door position sensors. The other product, AXIS A4611 Network Reader with Keypad, also includes an intuitive touch keypad with support for two-factor authentication to ensure enhanced security. Using Power over Ethernet (PoE), they connect to the network with a single cable for both power and connectivity. With no need to wire back from the door controller to the reader, they offer streamlined, cost-efficient installation with less cabling. This also makes it easy to add more readers and scale the system. With remote maintenance, they ensure lower costs and higher security. For instance, it’s possible to grant and control access rights, update software, change configurations, and manage devices – all from anywhere in the world.
Featuring a mullion-mount design, these IP readers are ideal for installation in indoor and outdoor areas where space is limited, and they fit perfectly in narrow areas and door frame installations. Compatible with most RFID credentials, such as AXIS TA4711 Access Card and AXIS TA4712 Key Fob, they offer secure and seamless touch-free entry.
Key features include:
- Complete interface for one door powered by IP
- Perfectly matches Axis door controllers and credentials
- Product with intuitive touch keypad for enhanced security
- Easy to install and scale
- Supports most RFID cards and fobs
These IP readers come with built-in cybersecurity features for secure and easy onboarding and integration, and to prevent unauthorized access even in the event of a security breach. What’s more, they are part of an Axis end-to-end solution and designed to work optimally with Axis network door controllers.
The IP readers are planned to be available through Axis distribution channels by April 2026.
