Axis Communications announces six AI-powered fisheye cameras offering unmatched 360° performance, total coverage, and zero blind spots. Using the latest sensor technology, they provide high-quality image resolution 24/7 and include models with built-in microphones as well as a model in stainless steel and a model designed for onboard installations.
AXIS M4337-PLVE, AXIS M4338-PLVE and AXIS M4337-SPLVE deliver sharp images with great detail in 6 MP and 12 MP, respectively. The other two cameras, AXIS M4347-PLVE and AXIS M4348-PLVE also offer 6 MP and 12 MP, respectively, and include built-in microphones and AXIS Audio Analytics preinstalled to detect critical sounds such as glass breaking, screams, and shouts, and measure noise pollution.
In addition, they include directional audio detection providing the direction of the audio source. AXIS M4337-SPLVE is certified for use in food processing facilities and comes in a marine-grade stainless steel (SS 316L) casing.
AXIS M4348-PLR offers 12MP and is designed for installation in any kind of vehicle, can withstand high vibrations and is compliant with transportation industry standards.
These fisheye cameras use the latest sensor technology to deliver 30% higher resolution than previous generations. With stereographic lens and Sharpdome 360, they offer outstanding image sharpness towards the edges and excellent corner image quality.
They include digital PTZ views, as well as panoramic, quad, corner, and corridor dewarped views for clear, natural views with improved usability, coverage, and accuracy.
AI-powered, they come with AXIS Object Analytics preinstalled to detect, classify, track, and count objects. Now combined with ARTPEC-9, this application offers enhanced performance with greater accuracy. In addition, AI models are specifically trained for 360° fisheye views to ensure optimized performance. Generated metadata can be gathered and visualized in a dashboard for valuable insights, and these cameras are optimized for free text search with AXIS Camera Station Smart search.

The -PLVE cameras are IK10-, IP66-, and NEMA 4X-rated outdoor-ready and are both vandal- and impact-resistant and have an operating temperature range from -40°C to 50 °C (-40°F to 122°F).
Furthermore, Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform, safeguards the device and offers FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and operations. The stainless-steel model is certified by NSF/ANSI to Standard 169 (Special Purpose Food Equipment and Devices) for use in food processing facilities. The onboard camera is compliant with transportation industry standards,
including EN50155 and EN45545-2.
The cameras are planned to be available through Axis distribution channels by Q2 2026
