Axis Communications announces updates to AXIS F Modular Camera Series with two new rugged main units ideal for installation in high-vibration environments, and two UL-recognized barebone main units designed for integration.
AXIS F9111-R Mk II is a one-channel main unit offering 720p at 180 fps or HDTV 1080p at 60 fps. AXIS F9114-R Mk II is a four-channel main unit that offers up to 4K at 12/15 fps per channel. With multiple sensor units to choose from, it’s possible to use up to four different sensor units simultaneously, depending on specific needs. Additionally, AXIS F9114-R Mk II requires only one video management software (VMS) license and one switch port regardless of the main unit. These main units are ideal for high-vibration environments and can be installed in vehicles or buses where ignition control with controlled shutdown prevents the vehicle’s battery from draining.
Ideal for building customized video solutions, the UL-recognized barebone 4-channel main units, AXIS F9104-B Mk II and AXIS F9114-B Mk II are sold without a top cover and designed to be integrated into UL-certified end-products. In addition, AXIS F9114-B Mk II includes two audio-in ports and four configurable I/O ports.

These AI-powered main units include a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) to run advanced features and powerful analytics at the edge. For instance, they come with AXIS Object Analytics preinstalled to detect, classify, track, and count humans and types of vehicles. They include Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform that safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. Additionally, it offers FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified, secure cryptographic key storage and operations. Furthermore, AXIS F9111-R Mk II, AXIS F9114-R Mk II, and AXIS F9114-B Mk II come with AXIS Sensor Metrics Dashboard preinstalled, making it possible to gather information from connected sensor devices including the integrated accelerometer sensor, as well as external Modbus and GPS sensors.
