Axis Communications announces updates to AXIS P12 Modular Camera Series. These three new modular cameras are ideal for a variety of indoor applications. Featuring a deep learning processing unit, they enable the use of advanced analytics.
These modular cameras deliver HDTV 1080p resolution and include a small, compact main unit.
AXIS P1245 Mk II offers a thumb-sized sensor unit and a wide, 111° field of view. Ideal for a wide range of applications, it can be integrated into machinery or used standalone and mounted on a swivel or other mount.
AXIS P1265 MK II features a tiny, pinhole-sized sensor for extremely discreet installation. It offers a 91° horizontal field of view. This sensor unit is easy to install in tight spaces and can be integrated, for instance in ATMs and ticketing machines.
The third product, AXIS P1275 Mk II, includes a small dome-shaped sensor with a 2.8-6 mm varifocal lens. It’s possible to adjust this camera’s field of view 99°- 53° and choose between clear overviews or detailed close-ups.
Based on the divided modular camera concept, these sensor units connect via cable to the main units, so the two parts can be placed separately from each other for even more discreet installation. The sensor units can be mounted up to 15 m from the main units. Additionally, with a detachable cable, these devices ensure flexible installation, maintenance, and upgrade.
Key features include:
- Various sensor sizes available
- HDTV 1080p with wide field of view
- Detachable cable up to 15 m
- Support for analytics with deep learning
- AXIS Object Analytics pre-installed
These modular cameras include Axis Zipstream which significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements. With WDR, they ensure clarity even when there’s both dark and light areas in a scene. Furthermore, a deep learning processing unit enables the use of advanced analytics. For instance, AXIS Object Analytics can detect and classify different types of objects.
The cameras will be available through Axis distribution channels in May 2024
