Part of a complete Axis end‑to‑end solution, these readers work seamlessly with Axis network door controllers and Axis credentials to deliver reliable, secure, and trouble‑free entry.
AXIS A4030‑E Reader features a sleek mullion-style design ideal for narrow spaces, door frames, and elevator installations. AXIS A4130‑E Reader offers flexible installation on single‑gang boxes or directly on the wall. For applications requiring PIN verification, AXIS A4131‑E Reader with Keypad provides the same versatile mounting options as AXIS A4130-E Reader and includes a durable, intuitive touch keypad designed for unlimited use. A braille label is also available as an optional accessory.
When combined with AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry, these OSDP readers provide a unified access control solution with advanced functionality, including anti-passback and two-person rule. Supporting a wide range of 13.56 MHz smart RFID standards, they offer strong interoperability and future-ready performance. Additionally, they can be remotely managed through Axis door controllers, enabling easy access to new features, configuration options, and security updates – anytime and from anywhere.

With out-of-the-box support for Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP), these readers ensure secure bidirectional communication. In addition, Secure Channel Protocol (SCP) protects credentials and cryptographic keys, and an EAL6+ Certified Secure Element offers added protection. What’s more, transparent mode provides secure end-to-end encryption by storing the encryption key on the door controller rather than on the reader, helping prevent key theft if the reader is ever tampered with.
