New controller for faster, easier in-zone adjustment of volume and audio source

2 minutes read
AXIS C8310 Volume Controller

Axis Communications introduces a physical device for volume control and audio source selection to complement its audio portfolio. This straightforward controller connects via I/O port to an Axis audio device to let local staff adjust the volume and audio source in that zone without software log-ins or intermediaries.

AXIS C8310 Volume Controller extends the flexibility and responsiveness of local audio systems while helping organizations maintain centralized control. Maximum volume and up to three possible audio sources are configured in AXIS Audio Manager Edge or AXIS Audio Manager Pro, enabling on-site staff to adapt to the circumstances (for instance size or type of audience) with the touch of a button. No matter what audio source or volume level is selected locally, live or scheduled announcements, paging, and public address play as configured in the audio management software.

The volume controller features a simple, easy-to-use interface. Clear symbols identify volume up and down, mute, and three audio sources, while tactile feedback provides key press confirmation. Meanwhile, backlit buttons indicate the selected source and any active mute status. This device can also be remotely monitored and controlled within the AXIS Audio Manager software family.

Key features include:

  • Easy touch network volume adjustment
  • 3 preconfigured audio sources
  • Tactile and visual selection feedback
  • I/O port connection

It supports recessed wall mounting and comes with a frame for on wall mount. In large audio zones, multiple controllers can be installed for quick and easy access to audio adjustments.
