Axis Communications achieves SOC 2® Type 2 attestation for Axis Cloud Connect

The SOC 2® Type 2 attestation, conducted by an independent third-party auditing firm, evaluates both the design and effectiveness of a company's controls over a specified period. The audit specifically assessed compliance with the Trust Services Criteria established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), including security, availability, and confidentiality.

Axis achieved  SOC 2® Type 1 attestation in August 2024. While both attestations demonstrate a company’s commitment to safeguarding customer data, the SOC 2® Type 1 report evaluated the design and implementation of security controls at a single point in time. The SOC 2® Type 2 attestation goes further – evaluating the operational effectiveness of those controls over an extended period. Together, they provide a comprehensive view of an organization’s ability to maintain trust, reliability, and integrity in its systems.
