Ground breaking for Axis new office and logistics building

On September 22, representatives from Axis and Skanska broke ground for Opera, the new seven-story Axis office and logistics building, situated at the Brunnshög site. The ground-breaking ceremony marks the commencement of the construction which is expected to be finalized in 2026.

With a total area of 27,500 square meters, Opera is designed to be a dynamic space that blends functionality, sustainability, and employee well-being, reflecting Axis growth ambitions and commitment to a more sustainable future and an inspiring workplace environment.

The ground floor will house a new logistics center and will replace the current Axis logistics center located in the West side of Lund. The new logistics hub will ensure seamless supply chain management and support for Axis in plans for continued growth and expansion.

Situated within sight of Axis flagship office, Grenden, Opera is expected to house approximately 550 Axis employees.

Opera is a statement of the continuing long-term growth of Axis and a strategic investment in the health and well-being of our employees.

Opera is designed by the architecture firm Jais Landén Krantz Arkitekter, renowned for their work on the interior design Axis Grenden, with high sustainability and environmental ambitions in mind. The building has been certified as Miljöbyggnad Silver, with ambitions for a Gold rating in energy efficiency – certifications that attest to the building's compliance with rigorous standards that exceed typical recommendations.

To achieve this, Opera will feature 2,400 square meters of solar panels on its exterior to power the facility. Furthermore, the strategic location of Opera, with proximity to both bus and tram lines, ensures excellent public transport connectivity for Axis employees.

“Opera is a statement of the continuing long-term growth of Axis and a strategic investment in the health and well-being of our employees”, says  Ray Mauritsson, Axis President and CEO.
