AXIS A1610 Network Door Controller

Axis Communications announces the release of two network door controllers including everything needed to control two doors—all powered by one PoE cable. Ideal for various installation and applications, these robust solutions offer powerful hardware with extra processing power, memory, and storage.

AXIS A1610 Network Door Controller includes everything needed to control two doors. This advanced, plenum-rated device offers support for DIN rail mounts for fast and easy installation on walls. The other model, AXIS A1610-B Network Door Controller, is an edge-based UL recognized barebone door controller. Sold without a top cover, it’s excellent for building customized access control solutions offering easy integration into an Axis or third-party enclosure.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, these door controllers can operate in temperatures from -40 °C to 70 °C (-40 °F to 158 °F). They offer support for PoE+ and DC and thanks to six configurable auxiliary I/O ports, they offer easy integration with sensors and external security systems, for instance to detect emergency alarms. Thanks to intelligence on the edge, they can internally handle all tasks related to door access—even if the network is down. Built-in cybersecurity features help prevent unauthorized access and safeguard the system. Additionally, they ensure cryptographic keys such as the OSPD Secure Channel encryption key are safely and securely stored in the onboard EAL6+ Certified compute module.

Key features include:

  • Advanced control for two doors
  • Intelligence on the edge
  • Built-in cybersecurity features
  • Advanced model with plenum rating
  • Barebone model for easy installation

Fully integrated within Axis end-to-end solutions and supported by Axis partner solutions, these scalable devices are optimized for both small and large installations. Designed to meet changing needs as they develop, it’s possible to store up to 250k credentials and 250k event logs on each device. Furthermore, they ensure flexible and secure authentication using different types of credentials.

The network door controllers will be available through Axis distribution channels in Q1 2023.
