Axis Communications announces the release of a version 4.7 of AXIS Optimizer for Milestone XProtect offering easy, centralized list management and search for license plates lists. This new release also offers a simple way to demo Axis deep learning camera output via AXIS Optimizer forensic search capabilities only using a laptop or similar: no license or hardware required.
With a dedicated tab in Milestone XProtect, AXIS Optimizer license plates enables centralized, multisite management of license plate lists. Combining vehicle access and vehicle search capabilities, it offers an easy way to manage license plate lists on multiple Axis cameras with AXIS License Plate Verifier analytics embedded. Now available directly in the Smart Client for the first time, both administrator and operator roles can easily manage allow, deny and custom lists. For instance, they can add, remove or update details based on a specific license plate. The tab can also be used to perform post-event forensic searches based on plates. For instance, users can create and export reports with data about which license plates entered and exited an area, at what site, include owner information related to a plate, etc.. This feature is also supported on systems that do not have XProtect's Centralized search.
This latest release also includes functionality that makes it easy to demo the output of Axis’ deep learning cameras via AXIS Optimizer forensic search capabilities. With a growing range of Axis deep learning cameras, these intelligent devices often need extensive setup and testing before they can be effectively demonstrated. This new capability makes it easy for Axis and Milestone teams as well as channel partners to quickly share, view, and demo exported videos and metadata from Axis deep learning cameras. Users simply export recordings into Milestone XProtect file format using one zip file which can then be opened and used to demo from any PC workstation or laptop. There’s no need to install XProtect or have an Axis deep learning camera to perform the demo.
