Axis Communications announces next-generation modular cameras including two rugged main units, two UL recognized barebone main units, and five ruggedized sensors. The latest generation AXIS F Series ensures discreet surveillance with easy integration. Based on a divided camera concept, the main unit, sensor, and cable (up to 30 m /98 ft.) are chosen based on individual needs.
AXIS F9111 is a 1-channel main unit offering 720p at 180 fps or HDTV 1080p at 60 fps with AXIS F21, AXIS F7225-RE, and AXIS F4105-LRE sensors. All other main units support four HDTV 1080p video streams at 30 fps on all video channels and require only one video management software (VMS) license and one switch port regardless of the main unit. All main units feature ignition control with controlled shutdown to prevent the vehicle’s battery from draining when installed in vehicles or buses.
Ideal for building customized video solutions, the UL recognized barebone 4-channel main units AXIS F9114-B and AXIS F9104-B are sold without a top cover and designed to be integrated into UL-certified end-products.
The series also includes five new sensors including one fisheye sensor (AXIS F2135-RE), one fixed focal sensor (AXIS F2105-RE), and one varifocal sensor (AXIS F2115-R). In addition, it includes an extremely discreet pinhole sensor (AXIS F7225-RE) ideal for integration in tight space such as machines and ATMs. In addition, the series offers a ruggedized and discreet mini-dome sensor (AXIS F4105-LRE) with built-in IR illumination ideal for retail stores or offices. Designed to withstand shock and vibrations, this mini-dome sensor is also a great fit for surveillance onboard buses. It also supports a wide range of exchangeable M12 lens options making it possible to adapt the field of view to the monitored scene and objects of interest.

The latest generation F Series is a completely modular solution where main unit, sensor, and cable are chosen based on specific needs. There’s a variety of new accessories available for use with the sensors. Furthermore, it offers built-in cybersecurity features to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard the system. For instance, Axis Edge Vault protects the Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis devices on the network.
AXIS F Series will be available through Axis distribution channels in Q1 2023.
